Also, anyone who is interested in becoming a member may contact us also or attend a regular meeting. You can also print an application avaliable on the member app. page. Meeting's are held the first & third sunday of each month at 6:00 PM at our station. As a small department we are in constant need of new members. As time passes we are in the same struggle as many other departments. There are just simply put, "fewer people of the community who have the time and or desire to volunteer for their community". We realize now days more than ever "spare" time is becoming less avaliable for everyone. This is also true with are current members. That is why we are asking anyone who can volunteer their time in anyway to please due so. Also we fully recognize not everyone can, nor wants to answer emergency calls, but there is many other ways to be a member of the team. Even if only for a moment please think of it this way, " Out of  all residents in Reade Twp., there is currently about 40 who volunteer to keep the fire department going strong, of those 40 around 1/4 of those members are the ones who answer the call every time the siren blows." Would you feel better and possibly even safer for yourself and your loved ones if you were able to expand that number?" Just something to think about.
