Reade Volunteer Fire Company was established in the spring of 1946. Since that time the company has seen many changes over the years ranging from members, equipment, tactics, training and far to many more to mention it all. Over the course of the years one thing has remained unchanged. The desire to serve and protect the residents of Reade Township and any person who may be passing through or visiting Reade Township. With these changes many hardships have been faced by the company but along with the hardships have also been many enjoyable times for the members and new friendships forged. While we have remained an active fire company for over sixty plus years we will continue to strive to ensure that remains true for all time.
